OOX Conducts Online Advertising Education Initiative

OOX has conducted its first non-commissioned Online Advertising education initiative in Dubai on the 25th of February 2010 entitled “Online Advertising Foundation Course: Get in the Game!” The initiative was aimed at Advertisers who needed to acquire the foundations of online advertising in the Middle-East as well as find-out the latest in terms of advertising routes and planning tools developed for this region.

The initiative was supported by the ikoo network who signed-up as the Online Advertising Foundation Course exclusive Sponsor.

Commenting on the course, Fouad Bedran OOX co-founder and course director said: “It was exciting to interact with an audience that is eager to master the workings of online advertising in the Middle East. The turn-out and feedback was very positive and encourages us to do more“.

The one day course was attended by marketing executives from high profile local, regional and international companies with operations in Dubai. Following the course, Theresa Assi Marketing Manager L’Oreal Middle East commented: “This was an essential course to finally master the fundamentals of Online Advertising and to explore the unlimited resources and possibilities we have access to just one click away!” Assi added “Let’s face it, the young generation can only be reached efficiently through online advertisements, so what are we waiting for to better understand its fundamentals!”

Isam Bayazidi, CEO of ikoo network and sponsor lectured as a guest speaker on Text Advertising and Ad Networks. He commented by saying: "We are pleased that we were part of the OOX Online Advertising Foundation Course as it opened a direct communication channel where we shared online advertising fundamentals with clients and showcased the integral role that the ikoo network can play in any marketing campaign."

Dinesh Arasaratnam Commercial Director Effective Measure followed in the afternoon session with an introduction on Online Measurement and Research. The closing session was presented by Mohammad Itani Regional Digital Director Initiative on the theme of Effectiveness in Online Advertising where he presented success stories from the Middle-East.
